A New Era for Poetry Ireland

Power, a seasoned leader, brings a wealth of experience from her role as special adviser to President Michael D. Higgins. Her expertise in strategic leadership and cultural programming positions her perfectly to guide Poetry Ireland into a new era.

Book Awards and Literary Celebrations
The Nero Book Awards have unveiled their shortlists for 2025, celebrating the best in fiction, non-fiction, and debut works. The winners will be announced in January and March, respectively.
But here's where it gets controversial... The fiction shortlist includes some heavy hitters like Damian Barr and Ian McEwan. Who will take home the top prize?

Additionally, the Institute of Irish Studies at the University of Liverpool is seeking submissions for the John McGahern Annual Book Prize, offering £5,000 to the best debut fiction by an Irish writer or resident.
